We are talking about truffle dogs, of course, and the2-hour experience in the province of Imperia that will involve you in an unmissablesearch! Have fun discovering the secrets of the Seborga truffle hunter with an experienced truffle hunter and discover how this precious fruit of the earth is found and collected.

What will we do

The appointment is 10 minutes earlier of the selected time at the meeting point inVallebona (IM) . After the meeting with theguide, we will get back in the car and drive thelast 10 minutes of dirt road, which will take us to the location of the activity.

Once at our destination, we will immerse ourselves in a beautiful natural setting, populated by animals such as geese, guinea fowls and peacocks. Here theguide will explainhow truffles are born and some curiosities aboutcultivated and natural truffles, and then introduce us to the very nice search dogs that will accompany us during the experience:Artù, a proud Italian bracco, andMenina, an agile bracco pointer.

And after a few last details on how truffle dogs are trained and what characteristics they must have, we will begin the actualsearch on the estate's grounds. Following the dogs' nose, we will seehow to extract the truffles without damaging it and we will learn to recognize the qualities of the prizedSeborga black truffle.

We will conclude the experience with 30 minutes dedicated to weighing the harvest. Those who wish canbuy the truffles found!

The activity will have a total duration of 2 hours, including about 1 hour of searching.
