Artisanal bookbinding workshop - Finalborough

In the heart of the medieval village of Finalborgo, among ancient alleys and artisan shops, the door of a small bookbinder opens where time seems to have stopped.

Here an artisanal bookbinding workshop was founded, active in the historic center of Finale Ligure and dedicated to the creation of notebooks, albums and paper objects made entirely by hand. Upon entering the workshop you will be greeted by the craftswoman, who will accompany you to discover the ancient art of bookbinding: a profession created to combine sheets and covers, transforming them into books and notebooks.

During this creative workshop you will create your personal notebook, choosing materials, paper and cover, and learning the basics of manual binding.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The workshop begins with a moment of welcome in the small atelier, where the craftswoman tells the story of paper, materials and bookbinding techniques. Then we move on to practice: each participant will make their own notebook following the instructions of the craftswoman step by step. The process includes: choosing paper and materials, selecting the cover, preparing the files, sewing and binding by hand. At the end of the experience, you will bring with you a unique notebook, made with your own hands.
